About me

My name is Anastazja Kawiorska, and I am a physician practicing Lifestyle Medicine. I take a whole-person approach to health and focus on addressing the underlying causes of disease. I began medical school in 2015 at Jagiellonian University Medical College and graduated in 2021 from the Medical University of Warsaw. During my medical training, I completed clinical rotations and elective placements in Poland as well as abroad, including UCL Great Ormond Street Hospital, UCL Royal Free Hospital in London, and Columbia University in New York. For some time, I was preparing for psychiatry residency in the United States, but ultimately decided to stay in Poland. In 2025, I finalized my postgraduate internship at Szpital Miejski Specjalistyczny im. Gabriela Narutowicza in Kraków and became certified in Lifestyle Medicine via International Board of Lifestyle Medicine. I became a physician out of a genuine passion for medicine. Having spent many years as a patient myself when I was younger, I know firsthand how serious illness can affect the way a person sees care and healing. That experience continues to shape the way I work with my patients today: with empathy, understanding, and clear, step-by-step guidance. I am committed to ongoing learning and professional growth, and I stay up to date with the latest international guidelines and evidence-based recommendations. My primary clinical focus is sleep health and sleep disorders. Sleep problems are among some of the most common concerns seen in a physician’s office, yet they are still often overlooked. I see sleep as a foundation of health and often the most important starting point for meaningful, lasting improvement. I am a member of the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM), American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), European Sleep Research Society (ESRS). Outside of medicine, I have always been a creative person. I believe in creativity's real therapeutic value and all the ways it can can enrich our lives, at any moment. I have a deep appreciation for aesthetics in all its forms, as well as a strong interest in the science of self-care. Since I was little, I have been also drawn to East Asian cultures, Eastern philosophy, and foreign languages. I'm also a devoted tea lover, and in my free time I like to sing!
