About me
My name is Anastazja Kawiorska, and I am a physician practicing Lifestyle Medicine. I take a whole-person approach to health and focus on addressing the underlying causes of disease.
I began medical school in 2015 at Jagiellonian University Medical College and graduated in 2021 from Medical University of Warsaw. During my medical training, I completed clinical rotations and elective placements in Poland as well as abroad, including UCL Great Ormond Street Hospital, UCL Royal Free Hospital in London, and Columbia University in New York. For some time, I was preparing for psychiatry residency in the United States, but ultimately decided to stay in Poland. In 2025, I finalized my postgraduate internship at Szpital Miejski Specjalistyczny im. Gabriela Narutowicza in Kraków and got certified in Lifestyle Medicine via International Board of Lifestyle Medicine (IBLM).
I became a physician out of a genuine passion for medicine. Having spent many years as a patient myself, I know firsthand how serious illness can affect the way a person sees care and healing - it continues to shape the way I work with my patients today: with empathy, understanding, and clear, step-by-step guidance.
My primary area of interest is Sleep Medicine - I see sleep and recovery as one of the most important starting points for meaningful, lasting improvement in health.
I completed my training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I) through a course organized by Polskie Towarzystwo Badań nad Snem (PTBS) accredited by the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS).
I'm a member of American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM), European Sleep Research Society (ESRS), and American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM).
I'm committed to my ongoing growth as a physician and I make sure to stay up to date with the latest international guidelines and evidence-based recommendations.
Outside of medicine, I have always been a creative person. I believe in creativity's real therapeutic value and all the ways it can can enrich our lives. I have deep appreciation for aesthetics in all its forms. I'm really into East Asian cultures, Eastern philosophy, and foreign languages as well. I also happen to be a huge tea lover, and in my free time I like to sing.
